Five thousand vaccines administered in the hubs of Sardinia in a single day on Monday, with the number of people who went to vaccination centers to receive the first dose that even tripled.

It could be the effect of the compulsory Green Pass on work, of course - underlined Governor Christian Solinas - it is "a very encouraging response".

"Very significant - adds Solinas - is the response of young people: we are the first region in Italy for doses administered in the 12-19 age group: a figure that testifies to the great attention of our young and very young, protagonists in this delicate and decisive phase of 'immunization".

“Sardinia - underlines the governor -, while still mourning the victims, has made great strides. 90% of the over 70s are immunized, 88% of the 60-69 age group, 82% of the 50-59 age group, 80% of the 20-29 age group, while we still have to catch up on the 30- age group. 49 years, where our population has 76% coverage ”.

"However, these are very encouraging data - continues Solinas - which place us among the first regions in Italy also in the effectiveness of the vaccination campaign, while we are also comforted by an Rt index among the lowest in Italy".

"Our commitment on the territory is total - concludes the governor - and we will continue not only with the full activity of the hubs, but also with the open days, among the people, to get closer and faster to complete immunization".
