Stop in Baronia of the Mediterranean Festival this evening, Saturday 27th, at 7 pm at the suggestive church of the SS. Crucifix of Galtellì, in the heart of the village dear to Grazia Deledda.

The musical event is divided into a program composed of various events which also includes the international organ festival which takes place in various provinces including various territories of Nuorese and Ogliastra.

The objective of the musical circuit is to raise awareness of the conservation of Sardinia's rich instrumental heritage and at the same time to offer the possibility of listening to the jewels of organ building art preserved in the island's churches.

Many concerts include the presence of choirs among those operating in the territory identified from time to time for the concert to underline the natural link that exists between organ music and vocal polyphonic music, a combination originally born within liturgical practice.

The protagonists will be two choral groups directed by Maria Bonaria Monne, “Amicos in Cantos” from Galtellì and the female group “Priamo Gallisay” from Nuoro, while Ugo Spanu will be on the organ.

During the concert, enthusiasts will be able to listen to a highly enjoyable journey that starting from Frescobaldi, passing through Pasquini and Vivaldi, will reach Nicolò Moretti, an author less known to the general public but a prolific and very inspired composer, who lived between the 18th century and 19th century.

Entrance is free.
