In Cagliari, the pedestrian part of the San Bartolomeo cycle/pedestrian bridge near the Nervi Pavilion has been reopened.
Yesterday it was ordered closed following the theft of the rainwater drainage grates and the access gate to the staircase. The area was therefore unsafe for public use.
The installation of some temporary grids allowed the temporary restoration of the pedestrian functionality of the bridge.
"In the shortest time possible, any dangerous situation will be resolved also for the cycle path so that it can be reopened as soon as possible - the Municipality says - Investigations remain ongoing to identify those responsible for the theft".
