Illness while driving, crashes into a wall and dies: the tragedy on the 126

Fatal accident this morning on State Road 126, at kilometer 34.800 of State Road 126, in the Iglesias area.

A seventy-seven-year-old retired man living in the city was driving a Fiat Fiorino when, near the "red mud" (mud) area, he suddenly became ill. He lost control of the vehicle, which crashed violently into a wall along the road. The impact was, unfortunately, fatal for the driver, who was pronounced dead by emergency responders.

Anas reports that traffic on the South Western Sardinian highway is experiencing slowdowns and on-site personnel are managing traffic alongside the Carabinieri from the Gonnesa station, who carried out the surveys.
