Giampaolo Migali remains in prison. Lanusei investigating judge Nicole Serra confirmed the pre-trial detention of the alleged murderer of Marco Mameli, which occurred on March 1st in Bari Sardo.
The judge granted the request from prosecutor Paola Dal Monte and deputy prosecutor Giovanna Morra for detention, contrary to the request submitted by the defense team, represented by lawyers Francesca Ferrai and Maria Leonida Cadoni, who requested a less severe sentence for the 28-year-old from Girasole, the only suspect in the murder of the Ilbono worker.
In light of the decision, Migali is expected to leave San Daniele prison and be transferred to another penitentiary on the island. The alleged murderer is also under investigation for the wounding of Andrea Contu, also from Ilbono.
