Accident in the late morning today along the Provincial Road 86, the arterial road that connects Iglesias to Villamassargia . Two vehicles – an Audi and a Peugeot – collided a few hundred meters from a well-known restaurant in the area.
The dynamics of the incident are still unclear at this time. What is certain is that one of the drivers – the one driving the Audi – was rushed to the hospital with a red code , but his current conditions are unknown. The other driver and the other passengers, however, were fortunately unharmed .
The local police intervened on site to carry out surveys, clarify responsibilities and reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident. The officers are also managing traffic, because the stretch of road is still partially closed to traffic due to the presence of a large oil slick on the roadway .
