A large-scale operation took place yesterday evening in the centre of Iglesias, where the Carabinieri , with the support of the Anti-Adulteration and Health Unit (NAS) of Cagliari, carried out an extraordinary territorial control service.

During inspections of public establishments, the police found violations of food safety and consumer health procedures at a restaurant in the city center . The owner was fined €2,000.

On the narcotics front, two people already known to the police have been reported to the Prefecture of Cagliari for personal use.

Over the course of the evening, 76 people were identified and 35 vehicles were checked; several fines were issued for traffic violations.

The operation is part of the prevention efforts coordinated by the Cagliari Provincial Carabinieri Command to ensure compliance with health regulations, combat addiction, and strengthen the perceived safety of local communities.
