It was a lively evening yesterday in via Isonzo, where a routine check by the Iglesias carabinieri led to the arrest of a twenty-four-year-old local, already known to the police, on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and resisting a public official.

The episode occurred shortly after 10 p.m. The young man was stopped for a check and, during the search, the officers found a homemade cigarette containing marijuana in his pockets. When asked for an explanation, the boy reacted with agitation, going so far as to push the officers in an attempt to escape. However, the attempt ended quickly: the young man was stopped without anyone being injured.

The search then continued at the suspect's home, where the military found another four grams of marijuana, a precision scale and material for packaging the doses. Everything was seized for laboratory analysis.

After the formal procedures, the young man was placed under house arrest pending the validation hearing, scheduled for this morning at the Court of Cagliari.
