Low season, prices already skyrocketing for a holiday on the island. End of June, Southern Sardinia, a few days ago: a family room, in some hotels, could even reach 450 euros per night with breakfast. The rates looked like those of mid-August. The associations tone it down: "We're talking about 8-10 percent more than last year." But online, on the main tourist portals, there are also a lot of less than encouraging comments about the quality of the service offered.

The Region explains the reasons for the increase: " Algorithms now set the room prices on sites specialized in the sale of tourist accommodation", says Franco Cuccureddu, Tourism Councilor.

Meanwhile, in many tourist locations, prices are above average even in restaurants where, among other things, the preparations are not always carried out to perfection.
