Alarm on Monday afternoon at the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari due to a small fire that broke out on a terrace on the third floor of the building, just below the operating rooms.

For reasons currently being investigated, the flames started from some waste temporarily piled up on the terrace.

The prompt intervention of the firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to other areas of the building.

The hospital's internal rooms were not attacked by flames, nor were they invaded by smoke, and it was not necessary to evacuate any area of the structure.
