Mistral and fire, in Sardinia it's a hellish Sunday. The heads of the Civil Protection have asked for three Canadairs to be sent from the Ciampino base and one from Sicily to try to combat the numerous fires that have broken out throughout the region: the number of aircraft operating on the island therefore rises to seven.

The most critical situation is recorded in Siniscola: La Caletta is surrounded by a fire that started from Posada which, driven by the wind, has incinerated several hectares.

Six hundred people evacuated between San Giovanni di Posada and Monte Longu.

The sky has been darkened by smoke and the air is in danger of becoming unbreathable. The firefighting aircraft are converging here to support the difficult work of the teams on the ground. The fire reached the edges of the 125, after having also affected the 131 DCN, which was closed by Anas.

In the morning the Canadairs intervened for a fire that had broken out in Costa Rei: the planes loaded the water from the sea offshore, in front of the bathers, to then launch them over the flames.

While this front was widening, between closed roads and evacuated houses, with people fleeing the beaches, the alarm broke out further north, on the same coast, in Baronia.

In the morning the teams also worked in Capoterra, San Sperate and San Giovanni Suergiu, where a restaurant was evacuated as a precaution.

A cane thicket in Molentargius is also on fire, where businesses and some homes are under threat close to via Fiume.
