Helicopter strikes among homes on the Costa Smeralda; investigation opened.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Tempio has opened an investigation into a private helipad built a stone's throw from the Costa Smeralda .

Amidst the Mediterranean scrub, near the houses of the small village of Santa Teresina, a facility dedicated exclusively to helicopters is being built . Staff from the Tempio Forestry Inspectorate have conducted an initial inspection of the area. The magistrates took action after receiving a series of reports.

Helicopters have passed over the houses of Santa Teresina and in the immediate vicinity of the hamlet, even at low altitude, and residents are worried because they believe they are aircraft that have used the new helipad .

A complaint also requested the Municipality of Arzachena to verify permits for earthmoving and excavation, land leveling, deforestation, the use of heavy vehicles and tankers, the preparation of helicopter landing pads, and the construction of a fuel storage facility.

The Tempio Pausania Prosecutor's Office has been asked to verify the compliance of any flight activity and the helipad with ENAC regulations . The problem, according to what is emerging from the investigations, is the overflight of houses.
