Another online scam and this time the victim is a 38-year-old from Villacidro .
The woman, according to what was reconstructed by the carabinieri, received a phone call from a person who qualified as an employee of Banca Intesa Sanpaolo and who misled her by sending her a link to activate a new ATM card. The 38-year-old, after remotely activating the computer document, inadvertently allowed the scammer to withdraw 1,000 euros at an ATM in Naples, probably with a cloned card.
The carabinieri traced back to two people: one is a 26-year-old Indian resident in Brescia but in fact untraceable, the other is being identified. The first was reported on the loose for aggravated fraud.
