He hid almost 4 tons of marijuana in his house: an arrest in Sarule
The gigantic drug load was divided into 482 bags: a thirty-seven year old was arrested, the investigations continueIn a house in the historic center of Sarule he hid almost four thousand kilos of marijuana stored in something like 482 bags.
For this reason, on Friday the Carabinieri of the Operational Unit of the Norm of the Ottana Company and of the Sarule and Orotelli Stations, with the specialist assistance of their colleagues from the Squadrone Eliportato Cacciatori di Sardegna and a canine unit, arrested a thirty-seven-year-old from the town for the illicit possession of marijuana for the purpose of dealing.
The result is the fruit of the daily services of territorial control and monitoring, of the silent remote observations carried out by the Carabinieri both in the countryside of the jurisdiction and in the inhabited centers, actions carried out by the military from the territorial articulation and by the Hunters Squadron specialized in camouflaging themselves in the Mediterranean scrub, in impervious operational scenarios, but also in inhabited centers, with the aim of monitoring the territory as well as to find illicit crops also in search of fugitives and those to be captured.
The huge quantity of marijuana, equal to 3,717 kilograms, once placed on the market would have brought in millions of euros.
