The carabinieri of Guspini and Villacidro, in southern Sardinia, are investigating the suicide of a man of about 30 who took his own life yesterday after being accused of molesting two children aged 7 and 11.

The story was told on social media in a group from the town of Guspini where the alarm was raised by the father of the little ones who were taking a walk with the dog. According to the story they were followed by a man in a car which then stopped.

Once the man got off, he allegedly undressed in front of the children. Then after the tam tam on social media and chats, the man would have been identified and a photo of the car also appeared on the web.

The parent went to the police station to file a complaint, but the same "web pillory" reached the ears of the 30-year-old who, after sending a message to his mother, hanged himself. Now the carabinieri have sent a report to the Cagliari prosecutor who, if they deem there is probative evidence, could open a file for instigating suicide. And today on social networks there are those who ask to observe a day of silence.
