He had caught two groupers in the protected marine area of Capo Caccia, in Alghero . Then he sold them to a restaurant. All actions posted on social media, through videos that had gone viral. The protagonist now risks going to trial. It is an Emilian influencer.

He will have to appear on 23 January 2024 before the investigating judge of the Court of Sassari following the request for indictment presented by the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The disputed facts refer to a year ago: the young man was spending his holidays in Sardinia and on social media he had published videos of the fishing of two groupers with an underwater speargun in the sea of the Capo Caccia Park , a nature reserve area where fishing is prohibited sporty. Not only that, the influencer had then resold the groupers to a local restaurateur. His videos had garnered around 100,000 views. The environmentalists of the Legal Intervention Group had also seen them, who had sent a complaint to the Public Prosecutor of Sassari, the Forestry Corps, the Coast Guard, the Municipality of Alghero and the Special Park Management Company, indicating the video as a real " self-report".

The police had identified the poacher and now, with the investigation closed, the prosecutor has asked for the indictment. At the January 23 hearing, Grig will appear as a civil party. «Sardinia is not land and sea for vulgar safaris, anyone who puts it into their heads once and for all», comments Stefano Deliperi.
