Grandma Peppina turns 105, big party in Lotzorai

In 2024, the menu for her 104th birthday was based on fish: pasta with tuna and prawns. A year later, Peppina Corona sat at the table celebrating her birthday with roast lamb. Her years have become 105 and her ironic streak is more or less the same as it was twelve months ago . She told her children and grandchildren that she is well aware that 105 is an important milestone.

Today, shortly before noon, in her home on Via Dante she also received a visit from the mayor, Cesare Mannini, and his colleagues from the majority who gave her a floral arrangement. A widow for some time (her husband, Mario Cauli, passed away in 2004), grandmother Peppina had nine children , five of whom are alive. She can count on the affection of 19 grandchildren and as many great-grandchildren.

A woman of deep faith, she is devoted to Padre Pio.

In the past, in addition to taking care of her large family, Giuseppina Corona also ran the grocery store.
