To discuss his degree thesis he enlisted the help of his cousin. A rare disease prevents him from speaking, but Gianluca Zanda, a 23-year-old originally from Desulo residing in Villamassargia, borrows his "voice" from his cousin Francesca Lai on the most important day of his university career.

He graduated in Sassari in agro-zootechnical sciences with 110 cum laude . In 2020 he discovered that he was suffering from Pkan syndrome (two-three cases per million inhabitants). «I had a feeling of emptiness inside me, I didn't know which way to turn. I saw walls everywhere. I understood that it was something serious and somehow I was trying to think about how to move forward."

Francesca Lai read a summary of the thesis on milk production in the company managed by her father Pino and uncle Franco in Villamassargia in the S'Ortu Mannu area . «I followed Gianluca in drafting the text – he says – I have done other studies and I don't know these topics. But Gianluca was good and made everything simple. I was very excited."
