Ghilarza, the 16-year-old who fell from his motorbike is still in very serious condition

The conditions of the 16-year-old injured on Wednesday night in a road accident on Corso Umberto in Ghilarza remain very serious.

The student is hospitalized in a coma in the intensive care unit of the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro while the entire community continues to hope and pray that his conditions will improve.

The accident occurred around 11.30pm on Wednesday when the 16-year-old was riding his motorbike back home after an evening spent with some friends.

Then suddenly he lost control of the vehicle which ended up against a wall at the intersection with Via Volta.

The young man was thrown to the ground, hit his head violently and the impact was devastating: he remained motionless on the asphalt, help was immediately given but his conditions appeared desperate. The rush to the hospital in Nuoro, the treatment then was a succession of prayers and hopes for that boy who in a few days should have returned to class.

In Ghilarza, some events scheduled for these days have been cancelled as a sign of respect and closeness to the boy's family who two days ago also received a visit from the parish priest Father Paolo Contini.
