He was clearly drunk, with two dogs without leashes and microchips, and created considerable discomfort among passers-by. For this reason, yesterday evening, several citizens of Gesturi called the police: their intervention allowed them to stop a sixty-year-old, who was later reported, preventing the situation from degenerating.

This is an unemployed man, already known to the police. The two dogs were left free to run between the roadway and the sidewalks, obstructing traffic and causing problems for those present on the scene . The arrival of the Carabinieri – from the Gesturi station with the support of a patrol from the Guasila station – allowed them to identify and approach the sixty-year-old, who was also in difficulty. Their intervention allowed them to calm the man down and bring him safely home.

As for the two dogs, the carabinieri found that they were both without an identifying microchip, as well as without a leash. The animals were therefore placed in a safe place pending the necessary legal checks. The sixty-year-old was reported for drunkenness and failure to guard animals , accusing him of violating the regulations that govern the responsible management of pets.
