The Carabinieri of the Gavoi Station and the NORM Operational Unit of the Ottana Company have reported three men who convinced a young man from Gavoi to pay one thousand euros onto their Postepay cards.

The victim had been led to believe that the money was needed to unlock a money order, obviously non-existent, for the payment of the car that he himself had put up for sale online. And that the scammers pretended to want to buy.

Fortunately, the victim, faced with the request for a further transfer, understood that he was being scammed and contacted the Carabinieri who identified and reported the three to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Nuoro.
