Olbia, the only municipality in Sardinia among the two hundred participants, is taking part in the Perugia-Assisi March for Peace and Brotherhood .
Under this year's motto, 'Imagine all the people,' a delegation of sixty high school students will walk five kilometers along the long alternative route to war on Sunday.
This is the third time that the city's banner, displayed by the local police, has come to Assisi. The 2025 March is the culmination of an awareness-raising effort undertaken by the municipal administration, which aims to transform the city into a "workshop of peace and the future," involving participating schools with targeted educational projects.
"Faced with a dramatic international scenario, we believe it is even more important to join this initiative, both to convey the value of peace to younger generations and because it represents an opportunity for active citizenship that allows us to more deeply internalize the meaning of solidarity and sharing," said Councilor for Culture Sabrina Serra.
