Bad weather alert in Sardinia.

In the night between Friday and Saturday there is the risk of storms but for the experts the bulk of the disturbance should arrive over the weekend.

"In the last few hours the island has been affected by moderate and continuous rainfall - explains Alessandro Gallo of Meteo Network Sardinia - in particular on the central sector of the island. The synoptic framework for the next few days indicates a further deepening of the minimum in altitude, blocked by the anticyclone of the Azores to the west and by a subtropical anticyclonic ascent on Sicily. A situation that will isolate a cold drop first on the Balearics and then on Sardinia with associated phenomena, between the night of Friday and for most of Saturday, locally intense even in the nature of a storm ".

The risk is therefore of large-scale thunderstorms in restricted areas of the region. "In particular - continues the meteorologist - we could have these phenomena in Sulcis, Campidano di Oristano, Marmilla, Trexenta, Parteolla and Cagliari with cumulative rainfall, according to mathematical models, from 35 to 55 millimeters over 12 hours . The situation will then turn to the Ogliastra and Gallura sectors, where rainfall could be abundant ".

The trend, announces the expert, indicates a gradual improvement for Sunday 7 in a context of marked instability and the risk of light / moderate intermittent rains. Also noteworthy is the entrance of the Grecale between Friday and Saturday and the possibility of storm surges, while on Sunday the wind could turn to Libeccio. "Temperatures - concludes Gallo - will gradually decrease with maximums between 8/15 degrees Celsius for Friday, while the thermometers will rise slightly on Sunday".
