This morning's first two flights arriving in Cagliari were diverted to Alghero, causing inconvenience to many travelers who needed to reach their intended destination, perhaps for work.
Both flights were operated by Ryanair, the 7.05 flight from Rome Ciampino and the 7.30 flight from Bergamo Airport.
Neither the airport management company nor the airline have officially released a statement explaining the causes of the diversions, which are believed to be due to fog on the runway. The first morning takeoffs from Cagliari, however, proceeded normally.
