Four fires broke out in four areas of Sardinia on Wednesday 7 September 2022 .
On two fronts it was necessary to intervene, in addition to the ground crews, also of the air vehicles of the regional forestry corps .
The first large fire broke out in the countryside of Budoni , in the "Muriscovo" area. The shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Siniscola Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the staff on board the helicopter coming from the base of Alà dei Sardi and Farcana. Four teams from the Forestas Agency from the Torpè, Siniscola, San Teodoro construction sites, two teams from the Nuoro and Siniscola Fire Brigade, and the volunteers from the Torpè associations took part. The fire covered an area of about four hectares of wooded pasture .
The second fire in the Sardara countryside, in the locality of "Lascineddus", whose extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Sanluri Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the personnel on board the helicopter from the Villasalto base. A team from the Forestas Agency of Villacidro is also in action.
