Fatal illness at sea, 60 years old dies in the waters of Budoni

A French tourist died this afternoon in the waters of Budoni.

The man, about sixty years old, was on the beach along the bay in front of the village of Agrustos, in front of the homonymous tourist village where he was staying for the holidays.

Rescuers were alerted promptly but any attempt to revive him was in vain. Almost certainly crushed by congestion, the unfortunate tourist was carried ashore already lifeless.

On site an ambulance from Budoni, the 118 helicopter rescue and the local Carabinieri.
