Farewell to Kiro, 4-legged colleague of the Lanusei Fire Brigade: "From him dedication and unconditional loyalty"

Farewell to Kiro, a six-year-old Border Collie belonging to the canine units of the Sardinian Fire Brigade.

Together with his conductor, the Head of Department Filippo Orrù, was on duty in the branch in Lanusei, from where he was sent on several occasions for search and rescue operations in the region.

He died after a short illness: "All the firefighters of the region - reads a note - wish Kiro a 'good rainbow bridge' and thank the '4-legged colleague' for the intense, albeit short, rescue activity rendered with dedication and unconditional fidelity ".
