Giovanni Deiana, the longtime director general of the regional government, has died at the age of 58.
Born in Nuoro on October 22, 1967, he led the administrative machinery of the institution's top offices for a long time.
Having been ill for some time, his heart stopped beating while he was in a bed at the hospice in the capital of Barbagia.
The funeral is scheduled for tomorrow in Nuoro.
