Explosion in the night: ATM robbery in Bauladu fails

The explosion in the middle of the night had a very specific target: the ATM of the Banco di Sardegna in Bauladu.

The robbery took place at 2:30 a.m. today at the municipal building on Via Asproni, a stone's throw from City Hall. However, the robbery was unsuccessful: the safe was damaged but could not be opened.

The ATM was installed just under two years ago, coinciding with the closure of the town's branch.

Law enforcement officers responded to the scene on Via Asproni, began an investigation and are reviewing video surveillance footage.
