The prisoner who, last Saturday, taking advantage of a day release, had not returned to the Sassari prison was captured in Cagliari yesterday morning .
The man, a twenty-seven year old from Cagliari , instead of returning to the prison, had disappeared , taking refuge in the capital.
The agents of the State Police and the Penitentiary Police, after having immediately carried out several searches and checks in various areas of the city, identified an apartment in the Is Mirrionis neighborhood, where the escapee had been seen entering. The building was thus surrounded and immediately after the agents broke into the home, finding the prisoner, who did not resist, inside a bedroom.
The man, who will have to answer for escape, was taken to prison in Uta .
