In a post on Instagram, candidate Maria Laura Orrù announced her victory in the Elmas election. Vote counting is still underway.

"It's a great feeling," he writes. "We've always believed in our shared vision. We've presented it with a smile and commitment, and now we can enjoy this result, the fruit of great teamwork."
