Natural death . The autopsy performed yesterday by coroner Roberto Demontis on the orders of the Prosecutor's Office has dispelled any doubts about the fate of Antonietta Piras, the 96-year-old woman found dead in her home on Via Sivilleri, in the center of Villasor.

An initial report was forwarded to Deputy Prosecutor Andrea Chelo, effectively closing the investigation. For several days, investigators also explored the possibility that the pensioner might have been murdered: the Carabinieri of the RIS (Italian Special Investigations Unit) thoroughly searched her home, which, curiously, was in disarray on the ground floor but perfectly tidy in the sleeping area on the first floor.
