Not only Cagliari. In the night just passed from 6 pm to 6 am, the Carabinieri of the Iglesias Company - in particular the Stations of Iglesias and Villamassargia, as well as the Radiomobile Quota - carried out an extraordinary coordinated service of territorial control for the prevention and fight against crimes, with particular attention to road safety and the use of narcotic substances.

Three reports were filed for drunk driving. A 43-year-old worker from Iglesias was caught with a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit while driving a Ford Fusion. A 20-year-old from Villamassargia, with a breathalyzer level above the legal limit, was stopped while driving an Alfa Romeo Mito. While another 34-year-old worker, resident in Portoscuso, refused to undergo the tests and was found to already be without a license (previously revoked).
The vehicles of the first two were seized, while the third was fined for driving with a revoked license, with consequent administrative detention.
The military then reported a seventeen-year-old, found in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and caught hiding another 18, along with a precision scale, in a public bin. Five other young people, including three minors, were reported to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotic substances.

Specifically, possession of hashish, cocaine and marijuana were found.
Overall, during the operation, 89 people, 57 cars and 6 commercial establishments were checked.
