The village rumors were increasingly insistent and were reported to the Guspini police: "Marshal, there is a man who goes around all day with a scooter, he stops here and there, we all know what he does." And this something was dealing drugs.

The military carried out various investigations following the reports, with stalking and stakeouts, until they decided to intervene. The scene of the blitz was the main square, after having blocked the three escape routes to complete the activity safely. While awaiting the arrival of the 58-year-old, the police observed the moment of the exchange of drugs and money. When the sachet was given to a 49-year-old resident in the area, the commander approached and verified that it was marijuana. Once the personal search was carried out, another four doses of 2 grams each and 35 euros in banknotes of various denominations were recovered.

The military's great commitment was to find out where the 58-year-old kept the drugs. They located a ruin, partially owned by the man's family, which appeared abandoned but was securely padlocked. An empty bag with traces of marijuana was initially found inside and subsequently another containing over 1.5 kg of marijuana. And over 170 grams of hashish, banknotes of various denominations, a precision scale and a knife probably used to prepare doses of hashish.

The 58-year-old was arrested and tried immediately. House arrest was ordered and a new hearing was scheduled after requesting terms for the defence.
