Jovanotti and sailor Giovanni Soldini made a surprise visit to the guests of the “Lo Specchio” community in Domusnovas, a center for the treatment of eating and nutrition disorders.

Accompanied by a dear friend of theirs, the parent of a girl who is taking a course in the facility, they were welcomed by the president of the social cooperative Casa Emmaus (of which Lo Specchio is a true jewel in the crown), Giovanna Grillo, by the health director of the facility, Pablo Belfiori, and by the community coordinator Claudio Onnis.

Jovanotti and Soldini shared their experiences, especially the difficult times they experienced in different circumstances, and sent messages of hope and encouragement.

There was no shortage of emotional moments, between the notes of the most famous songs from Lorenzo Cherubini's repertoire who - as he himself explained yesterday - did not think of becoming a singer because his dream was to be a DJ.

Both he and Soldini, before leaving Lo Specchio, spoke with the psychiatrists and operators of the Center and asked them many questions about the pathologies and causes that lead so many young people to become anorexic or bulimic. Since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic, an increase in these eating disorders of 35-40% has been recorded throughout Italy, with a worrying widening of the age range of patients: Lo Specchio, in fact, also hosts some adolescents.
