A 29-year-old was arrested last night in Dolianova by the Carabinieri of the Aliquota Radiomobile. The man, an unemployed Moroccan man already known to the police, is accused of resisting a public official and receiving stolen goods.
A few weeks ago, a man living in Uta filed a complaint with the local Carabinieri station, reporting the theft of his Renault Clio parked near his home. The car was seen moving last night in Dolianova, in via Cagliari near a supermarket.
The Carabinieri recognized the vehicle and ordered it to stop, but the driver tried to elude the control and escape, ramming the Carabinieri vehicle. The escape attempt did not last long, because the 29-year-old ended up off the road, stuck in a ditch. He then got out of the car and fled on foot, also trying to stop other passing vehicles, but was chased and stopped . Not content, he tried to resist capture by kicking and punching the Carabinieri , who immobilized him. In the car with him was a forty-year-old woman from Dolianova, who was reported at large for complicity in receiving stolen goods . The 29-year-old was instead held in the security cells of the barracks awaiting the direct trial.
The stolen vehicle was held pending investigation, inside it there were various burglary tools.
