Canceled services, delays, and resulting inconvenience for passengers traveling on CTM buses . This issue, reported by several users, affects the new electric buses that recently entered service.

The complaint comes from the Orsa union : "While CTM management and local administrations celebrate the entry into service of the new Iveco E-Way electric buses, the daily reality for local public transport users is a war bulletin made up of missed trips, chronic delays, and long waits under the scorching sun," states Marco Cadau from the union's secretariat in a statement.

The energy transition the company has so touted is facing dramatic structural unpreparedness. New vehicles are sitting idle in depots due to the inability to complete charging cycles within the scheduled timeframe, or they are returning to the depot for recharging, resulting in them not being able to provide the service as planned in the contract with the Region.

"The constant return of electric buses to the depot due to low batteries ," he continues, "is causing hundreds of cancellations, which is detrimental not only to users but to the entire company. The much-vaunted external charging stations still don't exist, and the CTM's statements even suggest 2027. There are 18 charging stations in the depot, four of which are non-functional and insufficient to charge all the electric buses."
