The autopsy on the body of Stefano Dal Corso , the 42-year-old Roman prisoner found dead on 12 October 2022 in a cell in Massama prison, will be performed on Friday 12 January at the Gemelli hospital in Rome. The consultants appointed by the family will take part in the examination: the medical examiner Claudio Buccelli, the forensic hematologist Gelsomina Mansueto and the toxicological expert Ciro Di Nuzio.

In fact, an investigation is currently open against unknown persons on the hypothesis of voluntary homicide . Initially, however, the man's death was considered a suicide: a theory that Dal Corso's sister, Marisa, never believed.

The Cagliari medical examiner Roberto Demontis will receive the assignment, and tomorrow he will carry out an inspection of the cell , useful for carrying out measurements and verifying the compatibility of the death with suicide.
