Winter sunbathing and off-season diving. The sea bathes the people of Cagliari with just over three weeks to go until Christmas . As expected, thanks to the almost summery temperatures, the people of Cagliari take advantage of the last weekend of November to storm Poetto. From mid-morning the hunt for a place to set up a deckchair begins (which the kiosks make available free of charge). "It's beautiful," explains Fabrizio while sunbathing and reading Madame Bovary. "I was there on Friday too, but Saturday is much nicer. If it continues like this we'll be swimming at Christmas: summer is only over on the calendar, we've almost gotten used to it," he adds.
The image from yesterday is this: on the beach, young and old, in every available corner, among the umbrellas, among the loungers. And then beach towels joined together to create large spaces to stretch out. A real assault. It's twenty-one degrees, with a clear sky and picture-postcard water . And the bravest ones take out their bathing suits and take advantage of the opportunity to go for a swim. " I had taken my last swim on November 17th and I thought it would really be the final one of this year ," says Luigi Pisano. How was the water? "A bit cold, but still less than it often is at the beginning of the summer when the Mistral blows."
