Accident in the early afternoon today on state road 130, at kilometer 42 at the junction for Musei towards Cagliari. Four people were injured following a collision between a Ford Focus and a Ford C-Max: three were transported to the Sirai hospital in Carbonia with red code . After the impact, which destroyed both cars, the driver of the Focus drove away and has not yet been identified.

It is assumed that there was a wrong maneuver during overtaking, the investigations are underway. On site the Carbonia traffic police, which is dealing with the surveys, with the support of the Carabinieri of Villamassargia. Also present are the Anas, the Fire Brigade and among the ambulances the medicalized Mike 70 of the Sirai of Carbonia and the Avad of Domusnovas. The helicopter rescue arrived but did not intervene.

The road remained blocked to traffic for several hours, with long queues in the direction of Cagliari, before being reopened shortly before 5pm. A few metres away from the side of the accident, a rear-end collision was also recorded on the other side of the road .
