A tourist was injured in a serious road accident in Villasimius in the afternoon. Two cars were involved, a Panda with a couple of tourists (husband and wife) residing in Città di Castello on board and a Toyota Yaris with a tourist from Lithuania on board. The violent clash took place at the intersection between the streets of the Oleandri and the Eagles, in the inhabited center of the town.

The Panda swerved and rolled over. The 60-year-old Umbrian tourist got the worst of it, who was immediately rescued and transported by 118 ambulance to the Brotzu hospital for investigations. He was seriously injured but luckily he would not be in danger of life. On the spot the captain Massimo Meloni, commander of the Company of San Vito. Several carabinieri patrols from Villasimius and Villaputzu and the San Vito fire brigade intervened for the legal findings and to regulate circulation, removing the vehicles and making the site safe.
