Clear inversion of the Covid curve in Italy: in the last seven days an increase in infections, + 32.1%, and deaths, + 6.1%, while ordinary hospitalizations and intensive care have dropped (respectively -3.3% and -16 , 4%).

The data of the Gimbe foundation, relating to the week of June 8-14, also show that the province of Cagliari is the one with the highest incidence in Italy , the only one exceeding 500 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

The new weekly cases in Italy are 160,751 against the 121,726 of the previous one, 416 deaths (they were 392 in the previous week).

Currently positive (603,882 versus 628,977), hospitalizations with symptoms (4,199 versus 4,342) and intensive care (183 versus 219) are decreasing.

Cases of Covid on the rise in all regions, excluding Calabria. As for the provinces, infections are growing in 99, decreasing in eight. In the Cagliari area, we said, the highest incidence, 532 weekly cases per 100 thousand inhabitants .

"The trend of new weekly cases reverses - says Nino Cartabellotta, President of the Gimbe Foundation - which amount to around 160 thousand with a daily weekly average of nearly 23 thousand cases per day".

VACCINES

The percentages of those who received a dose of the vaccine and those who completed the cycle, respectively, remained at 88.1% and 86.6%. There are 6.86 million unvaccinated, 8.03 those who have not yet received the third dose . As regards the fourth doses, the coverage is 38.2% for the immunocompromised and 18.1% for the other frail subjects.
