The arrest of the two non-EU citizens who beat, robbed and pepper-sprayed a young man from Sassari last weekend has been confirmed.
The attack, which took place at night in the bus depot on Via Padre Zirano, consisted of punches and kicks against the boy and, to immobilize him, one of the two, covered by a balaclava, put his knee on the victim's neck. In the meantime, the other stole his wallet with 75 euros and his cell phone and, before running away, the couple, of Gambian nationality, sprayed pepper spray in the young man's face.
Who asked for help from a nearby bartender, thus allowing the alarm to be raised with the Carabinieri. The military personnel of the Arma, having received the description of the two, recognized them as people already known to the police also for the use of drugs and because they were homeless , stopping them shortly after in the historic center wearing balaclavas and spray.
