Cameras to fight the enemies of the environment. The municipal administration of Castelsardo has decided to place mobile video surveillance systems to catch uncivilized people who abandon waste on the street and violate the rules for the correct disposal of waste.

The fight against uncivilized people and waste abandonment, undertaken by the Municipality in collaboration with the Local Police, which has decided to install video cameras in various areas of the Castellana territory, useful for identifying and fining citizens who dispose of waste at inappropriate times or places.

" The indiscriminate abandonment of waste not only damages the environment, but degrades the natural beauty of our territory ," declared the environmental councilor Christian Speziga. "The presence of technological surveillance systems in various points of the territory represents an attempt to eliminate or at least limit this phenomenon towards uncivilized people who do not respect the fundamental rules on the correct disposal of waste. The invitation that I extend to all citizens - continued Speziga - is to actively collaborate in the responsible management of waste." It is therefore essential to adopt conscious and respectful behaviors for the environment, to protect the territory. "Castelsardo deserves respect from everyone and together we can preserve and further enhance our splendid environmental heritage."
