Carbonia, cars on fire near the fire station

Around two in the morning the Carbonia firefighters, alerted by a 115 call, intervened in via Roma a few hundred meters from their barracks, for a burning Fiat Panda belonging to a private postal company parked nearby of the activity itself.

Once on site, they could do nothing but put out the flames and secure the area, with the front of the car completely destroyed . The carabinieri from the Tratalias station also arrived on the spot, who together with the firefighters are dealing with the investigations, of which no cause cannot be excluded given the time.

The owner of the private postal business Marcello Siciliano spoke in this regard: "I still don't have any elements that demonstrate the causes of the fire, from viewing the video surveillance images you cannot see the point where the car was parked, stationary from Saturday afternoon, but the fact is that we are left without a car that allows us to carry out a service for the entire citizenry ».
