The blanket checks by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command do not stop, also engaged this weekend in territorial control services, in particular, in the municipalities of Quartu Sant'Elena, Monastir, Ussana, Dolianova, Sanluri, Gonnosfanadiga, San Vito and Muravera.
The activities, aimed at preventing and combating drug-related crimes and violations of the highway code, have allowed numerous individuals to be identified and reported to the Judicial Authority and the Prefecture.
In Quartu Sant'Elena, a 38-year-old from Uta, a courier, was reported as a drug user because he was found in possession of 0.34 grams of cocaine. A similar measure was taken in Gonnosfanadiga against an 18-year-old student, found in possession of approximately 0.6 grams of cannabis between a homemade cigarette and a wrapper, as well as a grinder with traces of the same substance.

In San Vito , a 36-year-old seasonal worker, resident in Villaputzu and with a criminal record, was found in possession of 3.8 grams of marijuana while he was on board a car in Muravera. In Dolianova , a nighttime chase that started in Ussana led to the reporting of a 21-year-old unemployed man from Assemini . The young man was stopped driving without a license, which he had never obtained, and is also accused of resisting a public official and possession of a narcotic substance for personal use : he had with him a homemade cigarette containing approximately 0.8 grams of marijuana.

In Monastir , instead, a 31-year-old woman, unemployed and resident in Sestu, was reported for drunk driving. Stopped while she was driving, she tested positive for alcohol with a rate higher than 1 gram per liter. Her license was withdrawn .
