The mayor of Loiri Porto San Paolo, Francesco Lai, has formalized the proposal to revoke the highly contested ordinance (no. 50 of November 2025) of Cala Finanza.

The proposed resolution is the only item on the agenda of the City Council meeting convened for tomorrow afternoon.

Francesco Lai will present the results of the Municipality's technical investigations into the area around the former Villa Joy, including new evidence also in the possession of the Forestry Corps .

The change of use of Villa Joy (from residential to tourist accommodation) will be revoked, and in theory, a prerequisite for the state-authorized luxury campsite project in Cala Finanza will be eliminated. The transfer of eight hectares to the Municipality (for a public park) will also be cancelled.

The Zes Unica authorization obtained by Tavolara Bay, the company promoting the project, remains in effect . The Sardinian-Brazilian LLC, at this point, could also consider itself damaged by the revocation.

The company, assisted by the lawyer Gian Comita Ragnedda, will appear in court on July 8th before the TAR (appeal by the Region against the Zes Unica) and in November (appeal by the company against the demolition orders issued by the Municipality of Loiri Porto San Paolo).
