The Monte Claro cycle/pedestrian path has opened. Built by the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, at a cost of just over €546,000, it connects the Cittadella della Salute area with Via Mattei and Via Cadello.

Metropolitan Mayor Massimo Zedda expressed his satisfaction: "We intend to continue investing in sustainable mobility, thus making cities more livable and inclusive. This project is part of a project to connect the city's network of parks, linking the city's different neighborhoods."

The 800-metre long, two-way cycle/pedestrian path was built with particular attention to sustainability and landscape integration.

Among the main features are the use of draining asphalt, a small wooden bridge, and wooden fences that blend harmoniously with the park's surroundings. A lighting system also allows for use of the track even in the evening.

Starting from a dedicated entrance to the Cittadella della Salute, on Via Romagna, users of the facility can reach Via Cadello in just a few minutes via a dedicated and safe green path – in fact, there is a traffic light system.

During the summer, the cycle/pedestrian path is open every day from 7am to 10pm, while during the winter it is open from 7am to 8pm.
