Carabinieri conducted a series of drug checks in Cagliari and its province. Over the weekend, officers conducted checks on over 100 people and 50 vehicles to combat illegal drug use.
In addition to reporting drug users to the Prefecture, in Cagliari, officers from the Operations Section and those from the Stampace Station arrested a 40-year-old woman, already known to law enforcement, on charges of cocaine dealing.
The 40-year-old woman was walking through the streets of the city center in a suspicious manner and the Carabinieri officers decided to identify her.

During the searches, several doses ready for sale were discovered. For this reason, the woman was arrested and placed under house arrest pending a validation hearing with a fast-track trial.
