Via Vesalio is once again at the center of controversy over ongoing construction work on the new roundabout and cycle path.

The narrowing of the roadway is causing significant delays and long queues, especially in the morning hours, causing inconvenience to motorists and residents.

The situation comes amid an already delicate situation regarding road safety, following the two accidents that occurred in the area yesterday.

One a little further up, on Via Torricelli, last night, where a 36-year-old pedestrian was hit while crossing at the crosswalk. And another yesterday morning, when a car entering Via Vesalio was left teetering on the curb bordering the flowerbed of the bike lane.
